Acceptable Use Policy

Chatstat Pty Ltd (ABN 72 651 491 637, ACN 651 491 637)

Last updated: July 15, 2026

This policy applies to everyone who uses the Chatstat service: individual account holders, organizational customers and their staff, and developers using our API or MCP server. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meaning given there.

Use Chatstat only within your lawful authority

You may register a person for monitoring only where you have lawful authority: as the parent or legal guardian of a person under 18 in your care, for your own accounts as an adult, or as an authorized representative of an organization acting under its agreement with Chatstat and applicable law. Organizations are responsible for any notices to students, families, or workers that local law requires.

Prohibited uses

You must not:

  • monitor any adult without lawful authority, including a current or former partner, family member, or acquaintance;
  • use the service to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten any person, or to facilitate any of those things;
  • attempt to access private messages, private accounts, or any content the service is not designed to access;
  • attempt to circumvent, disable, or test the protections applied to people under 18, including the restriction that their raw content is never available to third-party AI agents;
  • misrepresent your identity or your authority over a monitored subject;
  • use outputs to make automated decisions about a person with legal or similarly significant effect without meaningful human review, including employment, discipline, enrollment, or credit decisions;
  • use the service or its outputs to discriminate against any person on an unlawful basis;
  • scrape, harvest, resell, or redistribute service data, or use it to build or train a competing product;
  • register high-volume public accounts you have no monitoring authority over, such as media organizations, brands, or public figures, or otherwise use the service as a general-purpose content harvesting tool;
  • probe, overload, or interfere with the service, bypass rate limits or authentication, or introduce malicious code;
  • for API and MCP use: embed hidden or obfuscated instructions in tool interactions, attempt prompt injection against the service or connected agents, exceed your authenticated scope, or retain data beyond the purpose and period your agreement permits.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, and we may suspend or terminate access where this policy is breached, acting proportionately to the severity of the breach. Where the law requires it, or where a person's safety is at risk, we may notify relevant authorities. We log integration access for 12 months and use those records in enforcement.

Reporting misuse

If you believe the Chatstat service is being misused, contact us at privacy@chatstat.com. Reports are reviewed by a human.
