This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on chatstat.com, the Chatstat parent app (family.chatstat.com), and our dashboards, what they do, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or application. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and software development kits that perform comparable functions. We use them to keep you signed in, keep the Service secure, understand how the Service is used, and improve it.

Consent

Where the law requires consent, non-essential cookies are set only after you accept them through our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time through the banner's settings link.

The cookies we use

Essential. Required for the Service to function: authentication and session cookies, security tokens, and load balancing. These cannot be switched off. Set by Chatstat and our hosting providers (Webflow on the marketing site; our application infrastructure on app surfaces). Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise protects sign-in and forms from automated abuse and may set cookies for that purpose. Duration: session to 12 months.

Analytics. Help us understand usage so we can improve the Service:

• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4: page and event analytics across our websites. Data may be processed in the United States.
• Microsoft Clarity: session analytics and heatmaps on the marketing homepage and the family dashboard. On authenticated surfaces Clarity runs with strict masking, so text content such as alert details, names, and handles is not captured in session replays.
• HubSpot: measures interactions with our website and forms and connects them to our customer support and communication records, including data from authenticated product surfaces as described in our Sub-processor List.

Typical duration: 1 day to 24 months depending on the cookie. The complete and automatically updated list of cookies in use on this site, including names, providers, and durations, is published in the table below.

Functional. Remember your preferences, such as language and dismissed notices. Duration: up to 12 months.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not permit third parties to set cookies on our surfaces for advertising or cross-site tracking.

How to control cookies

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through our banner, change your choice at any time through its settings, and delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent parts of the Service, including sign-in, from working. Analytics providers also offer their own opt-outs, including the Google Analytics browser opt-out.
